EM Simulation of a Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SFCL)

Superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) is one of the main research fields in power supply applications. Superconducting fault current limiters have two main characteristics: they exhibit low impedance during normal operation and high impedance during short circuit faults. Therefore, superconducting fault current limiters can be used to reduce the level of short circuit current when short circuit faults occur in the power grid, ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
This APP can be used to analyze the dynamic behavior of superconducting fault current limiters during short circuit faults and obtain results such as current, voltage, and magnetic flux density (B) of the limiter.
